WHY 22ND OF SEPTEMBER IS MORE IMPORTANT

WHY 22ND OF SEPTEMBER IS MORE IMPORTANT

I know you clicked on this link to know why the 22nd of September is more important, even more than any other date. You will know that in a few minutes.

Autumn equinox: simply means equal night and day. Persons born on this day are potential human rights activists or critics, they tend to engage in long arguments.

There are two equinoxes every year- In September and March. It is an astronomical event.

The September equinox is also called the “autumnal (fall) equinox” in the northern hemisphere and “spring (vernal) equinox” in the southern hemisphere. It takes place 21-24th of September. This year’s own is on the 22nd September, 2013.

Event exact time:

20:44 /22 09 2013

Why is it called equinox

The equinox day and night is about the same length, say 12hours all over the world. Sometimes I think I am a lucky human being, because not everyone in the world is lucky to have this kind of (mystery) astronomical event on their birthday.

The name equinox is derived from the Latinaequus” (equal) and “nox” (night). It occurs when the sun crosses the equator (the imaginary line that shares the earth in two equal halves and runs from North to South).

Hey, you don’t get this every day. On any other day of the year, the earth tilts a little away from or towards the Sun.

Practice

If you care for any practical test, be on the watch today, check when you experience twilight and when the day gets dark. Then come tell me the number of hours each lasted.

Culture and Traditions

Many cultures and religions during the September equinox celebrate or observe holidays and festivals.
